A project for my graphic design class. The assignment was to make four alphabet pages. It could be any size, any style, and any four letters. And so, this is what I came up with.
This was heavily inspired from Junko Mizuno's artwork, with the style of the faces, and I got the colour scheme idea from a postcard in my room.
I wanted a nice, illustrated piece for my portfolio. (Nothing I post on there really goes into my portfolio, it's just for fun). So, I think this has a nice, clean look to it. My professor likes it, at least.
This is fantastic. When I was in Philly I saw a Junko Mizuno Artbook in a store and I instantly thought of you.
How the hell do you get your lines so smooth and clean in photoshop? Seriously! HOW? Did you use illustrator!? I love the flat colouring and the style. Very smooth and gorgeous, as well as morbid but cute. Thorns is my favourite. Embryo is just scary as hell (in a good way). Great colour choices by the way.
Haha, I wish I could use illustrator, seriously XD;; I ink everything in the traditional method, using at least three different pen widths. And then it's all a matter of cleaning everything in photoshop. But yeah, I can make a tutorial sometime. What did you want? :3
I'm fond of Marionette myself, he was my first one. But Embryo too, because she came from the Dir En Grey song XD

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
